Club Night Weds 11th August 2010
Please make a note of a club night to be held at Neston Cricket Club, Station Road, Parkgate, Neston, CH64 6QJ on Wednesday 11th August starting at 07:30pm.
It’s been a number of years since we’ve held a meeting to debate issues of concern to members and we think its time to do so again before the season begins. The marsh is changing, the climate is changing, and the demand for membership is changing; the committee would like to hear your views on these and any other matters that concern you.
Please come along and join us on the 11th and have your say, it is your club and your sport.
We will have the membership cards to distribute for those who attend and also the club badges if you haven’t got yours yet. If you can’t make it on the 11th, the cards and badges will be put in the post the next day.
Classroom Sessions
As
part of their training probationary members must attend 3 classroom
sessions as part of their progression to full membership. This
years classroom sessions starts at 7.30pm at The Grange Country Club.
Wednesday 1st September 2010 - What is Wildfowling?
Wednesday 6th October 2010 - Wildfowling and the Law.
Wednesday 3rd November 2010 - The Club and its Rules.
Marsh Walk Dates For 2010
Chris Anyon has set dates for the Burton End marsh walks. The remaining dates are:
6.30pm Friday 30th July 2010. Meet at Fred’s Rocks.
6.30pm Friday 6th August 2010. Meet at Fred’s Rocks.
Brian Somerville has set dates for the Wirral Area marsh walks. They are:
6.30pm Wednesday 4th August 2010. Meet at Riverbank road.
9.00am Saturday 21st August 2010. Meet at Riverbank road.
Colin Cook has set dates for the Welsh Side marsh walks. The remaining date is:
6.45pm Thursday 15th July 2010. Meet at Colin Cook’s house.
Tidal Walk Dates For 2010
Please block Sunday 8th August in your diary. The walk will be to the mouth of Taylors gutter. Meet at North gate of Corus at 07-00 on Sunday 8th.High tide is 10.20 and we will be back at the cars by around 09.30. More details of this and other tidal walks to follow both in the club circulars and on the website.
